Long Time No See

Man the weeks have been super crammed together and I don't know what
today is anymore hahha, it's all good!
So due to meetings in Dallas, all the exchanges we have to do and
other crazy events we haven't been able to have a good solid work day
in Paris in 2 weeks. How crappy is that?! We have zone conference this
week so hopefully things will get better after this week but we felt
bad since our investigators are wondering where we've been haha. But
like I said. Things should be getting better!
Last Monday we went on exchanges with the elders down in Gilmer,
Texas. We had a crazy night and I got to teach a girl who I
interviewed for baptism the week before. I think she's recently turned
18 and her parents aren't too found of the church. They let her go on
Sunday's but they're southern baptist and a lot of them are raised to
reject us and Jehovah witness'. It's kinda funny because they have no
idea why they're rejecting but it's just something that people are
afraid of around here. You ask them what they think is wrong about the
church and they either don't know or tell you something that's so
wrong it's hilarious. One person told us their preacher told the
congregation Joseph Smith talked to lizard people and was their
servant or something? Idk where people come up with this stuff, but
you gotta love them! :) I actually love to correct people's
myth's/theory's because it makes us look a lot more human and the
person with all these misconstrued ideas has it right from then
on....rant over hahha...anyways this young girl was getting baptized
without her parents knowledge because they would almost certainly cut
her off. I love meeting converts like that, who have such strong
testimonies! It's a joy teaching people like that!
Tuesday we did even more exchanges, and Wednesday we had yet
another...exchange haha. That night though we had a meeting with the
stake president about he missionary efforts in the Gilmer stake. It
was an eye opening meeting. Elder hallmark and I walked away from that
realizing there's so much more we could be doing.
In closing elder hallmark and I came up with a cool idea to do
something clever on Facebook this week! We're trying to get the zone
involved and hopefully people do it to. I won't go into too much
details but we think it's pretty cool, so be on the lookout on my
Facebook page....if I challenge you, be sure to actually do it hahah!
That's how the gospel will spread on Facebook. We're 1 of 15 or less
missions that are allowed to use it. It's a privilege!
Anyways let me know if there's anything I can do for you!!!  Have a
great week! :)

Love,
Elder Hyatt
