Interesting Characters!

Hey y'all!

This week was a pretty good one, we did a lot of tracting and sure enough we ran into a couple interesting characters!
I love being in Texas because religion is such an open subject here. No one is afraid to speak about it wherever or whenever. So we get into a lot of long door contacts. One of which being a guy who didn't believe in any religion until he hit his rock bottom. After that he started studying with missionaries long time ago, and as well with other religious missionaries cause he wanted to see it all. He ended up choosing to be more of a spiritual kinda guy cause he felt everything was pretty much the same thing and that joining 1 certain religion wouldn't do him any good. But he started doing things like talking real close, and hugging his tree, and jumping up and down cause of the "spirit", and telling us how when we die 2 Angels will take us up to heaven. 1 will be dragging us up and the other will be fighting Satan's angels to protect us.... He was funny hah. But there was one thing he said that actually stuck with me;
He explained sin does 3 things;
1) Costs you more than you intended to spend
2) Keeps you longer than you intended to stay
3) Takes you farther than you intended to go
The thing I thought interesting about this is the word "intended". Meaning all sin is a choice. we use our agency. When we sin, we justify our actions and are willing to put ourselves in Satan's hands.
That was just one of the many interesting things I learned this week while tracting! I honestly don't mind it a bit. On the other hand our investigator Tre decided he wanted to be baptized on the 11th rather the 14th since that's gonna be a busy day for everyone. But it was so awesome to be able to teach him from start to finish!  He's a stud, gonna do some great things in the gospel for sure! So that was the highlight of our week. We're planning on getting at least one more baptism this month!  Then again the number of baptisms doesn't mean anything, it's just sooo cool to see how prepared people are here in Rockwall and Royse City!

Hope y'all have a good week, love y'all!
