TDM = Texas Dallas Miracles
Howdy friends!
So this week wasn't the busiest week here but we had some pretty cool
things happen.
Our most progressing investigator, Allen, had to be interviewed by a
member of our mission Presidency due to some things in his past but
the great news is that Allen passed with flying colors and will be
getting baptized this Saturday! He's super excited and we are too!
Keep an eye out on Facebook, I'll be posting a photo there that day!
go back to Utah and he'll be jumping right into his service as a
member of the seventy. It's been such a privilege to see the change
the missions gone through, it just seems that everyone is at their
best. The new President, President Dalton has some big shoes to fill
but I have faith he can do it!
Anyways in our interview he gave me a blessing and we talked about
President Monson's last general conference talk about having a sure
testimony of the Book of Mormon. I love how plain and simple President
Monson explains it. He tells us that if we don't have a testimony of
the Book of Mormon to "do that which is necessary to obtain one". Key
word there "do". Not "wait and get". Our Heavenly Father loves us
enough to not give everything we want to us immediately. He wants us
to make something of ourselves and works towards things. We've all
experienced the difference between working our butts off for something
and on the other hand being given something. The thing we work our
butts off for usually has more personal value to us because we worked
for it. Now the same is with a testimony. The more we work towards
obtaining a testimony the stronger it'll become over time, and it'll
be worth more to us as well!
I guess that's my little spiritual thought for the week, hope
everyone's weeks go well!
