Holy busy week

Hello family & friends!
Holy cow this week has literally flown by!
To start the week our we went on a hike last Monday to a lake in
Oklahoma and then went on exchanges with the Idabel missionaries,
Elder Black & Elder Laris! We went and did some work in Arkansas, I've
never been there before but now I can say I have!
Anyways we were with the Idabel missionaries from Monday thru
Wednesday cause we combined 2 exchanges in one trip!
Then on Thursday I went to mine and President Dalton's first MLC
(mission leadership council). Basically it's a meeting where all the
zone leaders and sister training leaders along with the assistants and
the mission president get together and discuss the direction of the
mission. The big focus this meeting was about making & planning for
goals, and we talked a lot about what we can do better as a mission.
It was a super spiritual meeting!
Afterwards Elder Hallmark & I were asked to go on exchanges with the
Assistant's, Elder Christensen & Elder Green! Elder Green and I were
companions in the MTC, but we've gone on plenty of exchanges since I
got back so this time I went with Elder Christensen. We worked in
Frisco Texas which is a pretty rich area and after being in the
country for the past 5 months I felt a little outta place haha.
The next day we got permission to go to the temple with some of our
recent converts! Frank & Sue Perras, and Mary Phifer were able to go!
It was sooo awesome to be able to be in the baptistery with them! The
Dallas Temple baptismal font is really cool, and all the recent
converts that were there enjoyed themselves!
Then on Saturday we had James Sharp's baptism!!!!!! Man there were
quite a bit of people there from the branch to support James! The
baptism went great and at the end when we were singing the closing
song (there is sunshine in my soul today) and James was balling! He
felt the spirit suuuuuper strongly confirming to him that the decision
he made was right! I asked him afterwards how he was feeling and he
said he felt over joyed!
After the baptism our Branch mission leader took us to a steakhouse
near the Texas/Oklahoma border. He didn't give us a choice, he made us
order a 12 ounce sirloin steak, no complaints! It was positively the
best steak I've ever had in my entire life. It was so good that
putting sauce on it would have been an insult to the grill master
haha. No joke gained a pound or two, no shame😎
Sunday was the first day we had to actually plan our day cause we've
been on exchanges so much.
Then today we headed down to Gilmer, Tx to spend our p-day with the
missionaries down here. After p-day we're gonna go on yet another
exchange with the two elders down here!
This week was without a doubt the busiest week of my entire mission.
But it was filled with so many great experience's that I'm sad it's
not like this every week!
Super stoked for Carson being in the MTC, he emailed me earlier this
week and told me he's having a great time! Make sure to send him an
email, his email is: carson.hyatt@myldsmail.net
Anyways I hope y'all have a great week! Let me know if there's
anything I can do for y'all!

Love,
Elder Hyatt
