2nd Week in Dallas

Hello family and friends!
I love getting your emails and hearing how life is for everyone! If I haven't heard from you in a while I hope you're doing well! :) Anyways this past week has been really good, I cant believe I've been in Texas for 2 weeks TODAY, and I'm going to hit my 1 month mark this Friday! I really can't believe how much time flies, it's crazy!
So last Monday was an interesting day haha! Right after my pday we had a gospel discussion with an investigator other missionaries met in a Wal-Mart parking lot. My trainer, Elder Hasson said we were just gonna talk about our church and he was gonna ask legit questions, because that's what happened the week before. well this time we started talking and the guy goes back inside his house and comes outside with his Jehovah witness bible and he just started to hardcore bible bash! I was so caught off guard and he tried to prove a lot of things wrong about Joseph smith, and the BOM. Luckily my companion is really good with scriptures and fired answers back. the only thing is the investigator uses HIS Jehovah witness bible which has a lot of words changed from the king james version, and he wouldn't accept anything in the BOM, so really the argument was going nowhere. so my trainer ended the "gospel discussion".
Like I said last week, its hard to find people that are actually interested here in Texas. but since I've been here we've found 3 new people we try teaching, only problem is no one seems to ever be home! ;) we have an investigator named Amy who is already Christian, she's really nice and curious about mormons, so i gave her a BOM. It's been a week since we've seen her, she's hard to get a hold of! so after i gave her a BOM, i was feelings pretty good and when we knock on her neighbors door an old man comes to the door and laughs and says "haha hows the weather in Utah?" and we laugh back and we tried teaching him but he wasn't having it really. so he gave me 20 seconds to try to catch his attentions and I guess it didn't work because he said "I have 2 words of advice for ya, 1) get your shat (S word) together and 2) you'll get what's coming for ya". So far he's the meanest person I've met.
On the other hand after a 9 hour zone meeting on Thursday we decided to go to chic-fil-a.
I had forgotten my wallet so I wasn't gonna eat, but a 20ish year old girl offered to pay for all of us!
the lord was looking out for me! ;)
Check the blog for some more pics, but someone we're teaching has a tattoo of someone I think we all know, check it out! ;)
Love and miss you all, HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
Love Elder Hyatt ;)
