Hello family and friends!

I’ll hop right into this one;

We had a pretty good week here in Sherman!

A couple highlights were we got to teach an Agnostic guy named Sean.

Basically how we started teaching him was he moved into the area and all the friends that he had called and expected to help him move in bailed and so he was left by himself to move everything into a home, which included a huge refrigerator and a washer and dryer. Well luckily he had a friend who is a less active who got in contact with the wards Elder Quorum president and the EQP was able to get a bunch of people together in a matter of an hour to help Sean move in. Sean was dumbfounded and wanted to pay the ward back any way he could. So because of that awesome act of service his heart was softened and now interested in learning about the gospel.

I cant remember if I’ve told y’all much about our investigator named Ed????

Long story short he was introduced to the gospel because of his girlfriend who lives in Denton, she’s an extremely active member. He’s been reading and praying, and coming to church each week cause he really wanted to learn if the gospel was true or not. Well last Thursday we walked into our apartment at 9:01pm and we got a text from Ed saying “I received an answer the book is true. When can I be baptized and receive the Holy Ghost?”. Elder Laris and I freaked out! It was such a great miracle! Right now we’re waiting on his girlfriend to come back from her trip to Utah to set a date for his baptism so it’s fixin to look like the end of the month!

Lastly this week we were able to go on up to Durant to work with the District Leader and his companion (and my old companion too) Elder Larson. It was so great to work in my old stomping grounds!!! I loved serving in Durant. But we were able to teach some people that my trainee, Elder Taylor, and I found. There is so much potential up there.

This week we have zone conference & also have an exchange planned with the Frisco District Leader so those will probably be some highlights next week. Looking forward to it!
