2 to go!
Aghh the weeks keep flying by!!!
Here’s some highlights from my week;
Monday:
After pday we got to go on exchanges with the Frisco District Leader and companion. I went with an Elder named Elder Tornow. He’s from Farmington too! Farmington New Mexico :) We did a ton of finding! It’s always fun knocking palaces in Frisco.
Tuesday:
We had interviews with President Dalton...I had my exit interview.We talked about school, work, dating, and a whole bunch of other trunky subjects. It’s whack talkin about that stuff with your mission President!
Wednesday:
We went HAM constructing the shed at our recent converts house, Sean. I don’t think I’ve ever sweat so much on my mission. We’ve already had 100+ degree heat. We also taught our friend Carrey again. The guy who got baptized in a prison shower trash can. He committed to come to church! And he actually came on Sunday and had a great time!
Thursday:
Weekly planning took the majority of our day but we were able to visit some people. Nothing too big happened!
Friday:
We went again the the frontier village to do some service. We started to paint their new sign but then all of a sudden outta no where a huge thunderstorm decided to pour down over us. So we had to stop painting and we did other things instead. A miracle we had was our investigator, Ed, who was approved by the first presidency to be baptized but then randomly dropped off the face of the earth, texted us and told us he’d like to meet back up again and get his life straightened up!
Saturday:
We had an awesome day! We had a church tour with a lady named Katrina. And then we taught our friend Becca again, this lesson went a lot better than last week. We learned that she is a practicing Odinest. So she believes in and worships Nordic Gods. We taught the plan of salvation with some cut out’s I made and she took them and organized them in the way that she believes and there was a surprising amount of similarities. It’s always interesting teaching someone who’s not Christian!
Sunday:
Had our usual church services and then that evening we taught a lady named Gabby! She likes everything we teach but she asked us how we can know that Joseph smith was a real prophet and that he didn’t make this all up. So we took it all back to the Book of Mormon. After all, its the “fruit” of Joseph’s prophetic calling! We invited her to go to God before google to find out if its true. So much potential.
Aghh super weird to think that I only have 2 full weeks left. Crazy scary but super excited as well! Love you all! Talk to you soon! :D
