T-Minus 3 Weeks!!!

Hello Friends and family!

Sorry for not writing last week, not too much happened and pday got the best of me. Anyways this week was pretty good! Not too much happened, but we started the week off by going on some exchanges with some Elders in Little Elm, Tx. I went with an Elder named Elder Powell. He’s been out for 20+ months as well. We spent the majority of our time talking with people on the streets, and knocking a couple doors here and there. Couldn’t find too many people to teach :/ \ Wednesday we got to go over to our recent converts house, Sean, to help finish building a shed! We started this thing a couple months ago but it kept get putting on the back burner. So it was nice to be able to finally start working on it again! So far we’ve finished two sides of it. I promised Sean that we would get it done before I fly back home!
Friday we went up to the frontier village again to do some service. This week we painted the trim around some windows, and next week they’re trusting us to paint their brand new sign!!!! You’re probably thinking “why’s he freaking out about painting a sign?”. Well it’s cause that means Charla, the president of frontier village/Investigator, is trusting us more and more with bigger and more difficult projects :) gotta build that missionary-Investigator trust. RM’s you know what I’m talking about.

Saturday was a hoot. We have this solid member referral named Becka that we’ve been teaching these past few weeks. She comes to church every week and loves the members! She’s a recovering addict and to deal with some things that have happened due to her past addiction she always wears a hat in public to cope with stress but in church she says for whatever reason (the Spirit) she doesn’t need to wear a hat! Our last lesson was spent fixing some ideas and interpretations she had read from out of the journal of discourses the good news tho is in a matter of 9 days she’s read all the way up to Ether in the Book of Mormon!

To end on a spiritual note, lately I’ve been studying out of the “church history in the fullness of times” manual. If you’ve never read from it I suggest you do! It’s about the church’s history from the apostasy all the way up to current times. In it I’ve read about how faithful saints were kicked outta town after town after town, were starved, abused, killed, kidnapped, etc the list goes on and on, all because they would not deny what they knew to be true. That is, the restored gospel! Nowadays we may not face similar persecution but there will be different trials and tests throughout the course of our lives that may challenge our faith. My invitation is simple, hold to the rod! Doubt your doubts before you doubt your faith. Too many people abandon soooo many truths they do know for a few things they don’t know. It was said this last conference that casualness leads to casualties. I promise by doing the small and simple things you will never lose your testimony of the restored gospel :) (E.x: Read scriptures, pray, go to church

I love sharing this gospel with the amazing people in Sherman Texas!

These final 3 weeks will be awesome. Thank you all so much for the love and support!
