Lessons Learned

Howdy!

I hope everyone has had a good week, mine was fun!
To start things off we had a zone meeting with interviews, the first
presidency has asked that mission presidents interview every transfer
now rather than every other transfer, so that's pretty cool! President
Taylor's the bomb!

We had thanksgiving at a member house this year, the Millers &
Loftstrands! They're awesome families who are from South Africa so
they have cool accents haha. President Taylor let us stay for 2 hours
this year so it was fun!

So this week has been full of bike problems. We had an area blitz here
in our area so I let another missionary companionship use my bike
since I felt bad and I get a call an hour later and what happened was
the missionary riding my bike broke my chain! So I was outta a bike
for a day since the Walmart next to our apartment didn't have any in
stock. So we walked an hour and a half to the next closest Walmart to
get the chain. Luckily members saw us walking and drove us home!

Secondly I was riding my bike and I noticed that I was pedaling pretty
hard but I felt like it was dragging something, so I checked out my
back tire and sure enough it was going flat. Luckily I have a pump
attached to my bike frame so I was able to stop, pump it up, and keep
going. After inflating it I was hauling mail again, going fast. It got
me thinking, when we have things we need to repent for it hold us back
from our full potential. A lot of times we justify everything and tell
ourselves that were okay and don't need to repent. But I can promise
you that even keeping the little things to ourselves holds us back and
eventually will take a toll on yourself! So make sure to give yourself
that "spiritual pump" and pray for forgiveness and if you need to then
talk to your bishop. At the end of the day you'll feel a burden lifted
off your shoulders!

I hope everyone is doing fine, stay safe and have a good one!

After dinner, they had a spare turkey. Couldn't find anyone to give it too so we kept it.
Never cut a turkey before ha!

Texan stereotype at its best

Don't judge me haha. Inside is so pretty!
