Exciting Week!

Hey family & friends!
This has been an exciting week as usual! To start the week out we had
the opportunity to teach Tre on Monday and then again on Friday. On
Monday we shared the Plan of Salvation and then on Friday we taught
the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He's soaking everything up like a sponge
and already has such a strong testimony! It's such a unique
opportunity to see someone grow so rapidly in the gospel, he's great.

On Saturday we had our Ward open house. I'm not sure if I've even said
anything about it but really what it is, is we wanted the ward to get
excited about missionary work so we put together what we called "meet
the Mormons" where the members could invite their friends to tour the
church and learn about what we do on Sunday and throughout the rest
of the week. It's just a super non threatening way to invite people.
So anyways we had that Saturday and right before it started to
thunderstorm suuuuper badly so unfortunately we didn't have the biggest
turnout :( but those that did come felt the spirit. In the relief
society room you walked in and followed a bunch of signs that
explained the restoration and at the end of it all was the baptismal
font. The spirit hit you like a brick wall in there, it was awesome!

To end, something I learned this week was how tricky Satan is. We were
leaving an appointment we had at the church and there was this cool
mustang with its window rolled down and there was a big lab just
sitting in the driver seat smiling and looking at us. So me being a
dog lover decided to walk over to the Lab and pet it. Well I walked up
to the car, thought about it for a second, and decided to reach forth
my hand to pet the dogs head. Before I even knew what happened the dog
bit my entire hand and they had to rush me to the emergency room!
Okay, that's a joke but really, this huge dog bit my hand. I pulled away in
shock and checked my hand out and surprisingly not a scratch was on
me, not even any saliva from the dogs mouth was there. Without a doubt
I knew I had been protected. I guess my guardian angel didn't want me
to waste time as a missionary with stitches and doctors appointments.
This got me thinking that Satan does the exact thing this dog did. He
makes things that are so dangerous look so harmless & casual. Before
we know it we fall into Satan's trap. Satan is good at what he does,
and sometimes he "bites" us, we sin. But we can overcome sin with the
help of Jesus Christ and his atonement. He came to this earth and died
for us so that we'll be able to stand before God one day. The
atonement isn't something that we should use as "backup" or just when
we feel like it but we should always be using it! It's one of the
greatest gifts that God has given us and its up to us if we use it or
not. I invite whoever reads this to actively use Christ's atonement.
Don't let that precious gift go to waste. And once you repent don't go
sticking you hand in random dogs mouths again, you know the
consequences! :)

I hope everyone has a good week, let me know if I can do anything for
y'all, love y'all!
