Weeeeekly Update

Hello friends and family!
Lots of great stuff happened this week but I don't exactly have the time to talk about everything so ill just cut to the chase!

Im being transferred :(((((( I'm gonna miss Rockwall & Royse City sooo much! its by far been my favorite area. But the good news is I'm headed out to Paris Texas & Hugo Oklahoma!!! From what I've heard its a pretty rural area with some pretty interesting people, I'll let y'all know next week!

So the biggest miracle happened the other day... We had to get our companionship study in for the day and President Taylor's asked that we do our studies out in the public. So we usually go to the library. Anyways this girl our age sat next to us and started asking us allll these really good questions about the church. we did our best answering them, making sure we had a scripture from the bible to back up our claims. well we lost track of time answering this girls questions and we unfortunately had to leave the library since it was closing but it was also too late to eat dinner since it was past 6... so we were sad because dinner is probably the highlight of our day....Anyways we skipped dinner and decided to head up to a ladies house we had knocked the night before, she had told us to come by in a day or two. so we headed up there to follow up and see if she'd like a visit. well turned out she wasn't home. In the Texas Dallas Mission we do something called a "compass 5" which means we go to every house with a name and we also knock the 5 houses surrounding the house we came for, if that makes any sense. Well the problem was we had found this lady compass 5'ing so we had already knocked all the surrounding homes. Well we decided to leave but we saw these 3 homes that we hadn't knocked in a little culdesac. So we went to knock. The first home, the guy made it very clear that now was not a good time, and that he didn't have time to talk, bless his heart. then the 2nd house we knocked we talked to a lady that was friendly and willingly accepted a card. As we were leaving her husband walked up to the door and said "Mormons! I use to live with one of you when I was younger", turns out his best friend was LDS and had to live with him for a period of time. We said our goodbyes and went to knock the 3rd house in the culdesac. Well as we were knocking the 3rd house the family in the 2nd house came out and yelled "Hey! Would y'all like to come in and have dinner?" We were stunned but politely declined because it was almost 7 o clock. as we walked towards our car tho we felt super guilty. We had specifically prayed for a family to teach that morning and there they were asking us to come eat with them, yet we said no... so we swallowed our pride and knocked their door again and asked if their offer still stood! luckily it did and we ate good, grilled chicken and shrimp! At the end of the dinner we shared about the Book of Mormon and cleared up a bunch of common misconceptions about it. They asked if they could have a copy before we could even offer to give them one! It was so awesome to see such a specific prayer answered like that!!! specific prayers get specific answers! I have a new found testimony of that, and I invite all you to make your prayers a little more meaningful this next time around. Instead of just asking for guidance, get specific and let Heavenly Father know how he can help you, I promise he's up there listening. I've found a lot of the time Heavenly Father is just waiting to give us things, but we gotta be the ones who take initiative and ask! That is my challenge to y'all! So yea, I'm sad I'm leaving, but I'm excited to see what Hugo & Paris have in store for me to come! love ya all, have a good week! :)
