Craziest Mission story yet..

Howdy y'all!
So this week has been absolutely insane. By far the craziest thing
happened this week. So you probably know next to nothing about Hugo
Oklahoma and Paris Texas. All you gotta know is Paris has some pretty
run down parts but Hugo has it a lot worse. The people are amazing but
some of their living conditions are super sad to see. Anyways Elder
Haddock and I decided to go check out some dropped investigators in a
sketchier part of town in Hugo. Well they weren't home so we decided
to knock their neighbors door, it had a car out front so we figured
someone would be home.
Anyways it was a 2 story house and when we walked up to the door we
saw that it had bars on the outside of the Windows...we thought that
was peculiar but knocked it anyways. No one came, so this time we rang
the doorbell and like 30 seconds later we heard the door starting to
unlock. This person had like 4 locks so it took them a while. When the
door finally was opened this HUGE biker looking dude was at the door.
To paint you a picture of this guy he was at least 6' 5" and had some
gnarly facial tattoos & his arms were both covered from shoulder to
finger tips with tattoos. He had a bull ring though his nose as well
as some of the largest Gage's I have ever seen in someones ears. He
was bald with what looked like gang signs tattooed on his head and he
had on all black leather pants and a leather jacket with the sleeves
cut off. The thing that stuck out the most though was this huge 8 inch
Bowie knife that he had in a sheath attached to his belt.
He asked who we were and we explained ourselves and he smiled and said
"oh, come on in." Elder Haddock and I looked at each other and I
followed him in. When the guy closed the door he made sure to lock it
behind us. He showed us to his living room and we sat down for a
second and started to talk to him about his religious history. About 5
minutes into it Elder Haddock got white as a ghost and wasn't speaking
anymore. He eventually gathered enough courage to ask if he could use
the restroom. The guy told him where it was upstairs and Elder Haddock
quickly picked up his backpack and walked pretty quickly upstairs.
So now it was me and this guy alone in his living room. I figured
since elder haddock left so quickly he either had to pee really bad or
his lunch wasn't settling too well in his stomach. But I didn't think
too much of it. Well me and this guy talked about 10 minutes and he
started asking random, weird questions about family and friends. I was
super uncomfortable and said "hey my companions been taking a while,
mind if I go check on him?" The guy agreed and retold me the
directions to the upstairs bathroom. Well I get to the bathroom and
knock it gently asking Elder Haddock if he was alright. 10 seconds
went by and I heard nothing. I asked again this time a little louder
and another 10 seconds go by without hearing anything. So I turn the
doorknob, and it happened to be unlocked. I walked into the bathroom
to find that Elder Haddock wasn't there. I was sooo confused and then
I noticed that the window was open, as I approached it I noticed the
metal bars that covered the rest of the Windows on the house were bent
and I looked outside to see Elder Haddock on the ground. When he saw
me he yelled "Get outta there!". At that moment I heard feet pounding
up the stairs running towards me. I threw off my backpack to chuck it
out the window and then I started to lift myself up and out of the
window. I thought I was home free but right before I got my whole leg
out of the bathroom this guy grabbed my foot with both his hands and
started pulling my leg with all his strength back into the bathroom.
Kinda like how I'm pulling your leg right now.
I'm sorry! If I got anyone you'll have to let me know! What really
happened this week was Elder Haddock was sick from Tuesday to Sunday
so we weren't able to do anything but read our scriptures and watch
church videos Hahahah. So yeah that story is 100% fake, figured it
would be funny tho. Haha I know the lord protects his missionaries! So
sadly nothing to report on this week because we weren't able to have
any lessons last week. But this week he's feeling better and we'll
work extra hard to make up for what we lost!
I hope y'all stay safe and have great weeks!! Love and miss you! :)
