Howdeez
Just a real quick update on how my week went!
So we had 2 miracles.
The first was our recent convert Pedro and his wife Lisa have family
members who aren't members. Lisa's sister is a member but her husband,
nick, isn't and he's tried taking the lessons in the past but didn't
really feel anything. Well he went to Pedro's baptism and felt the
spirit super strong! He had a total change of heart and told us he
wants to get baptized ASAP. So we set a date for this coming
Saturday!!! He only needs one more lesson and an interview on
Wednesday. Only catch is right now he has some false charges from an
old lady who likes to frame people. So he has to be interviewed by
President Austin, who's in the mission presidency. If he doesn't pass
then Nick has to wait to be baptized :( I guess we'll see what
happens!
Next miracle is a sorts less active member brought to church their
friend who's lived with them before. We haven't even taught him yet
and he told us on Sunday he knows the Book of Mormon is true and wants
to get baptized! So we're gonna set a date with him at the end of the
month!
Miracles are everywhere!
The highlight of the week is we were able to go to the Dallas temple
to do baptisms for the dead with Derek our recent convert up In Hugo!
It was his first time in the temple and my first time doing baptisms
for the dead! I was asked to baptize and I baptized like close to 100
people! My arm was tired at the end of it but it was such a cool
experience! Derek was baptized for his dad and he said he felt his
fathers presence super strong!
That's what this is all about! We do far more than just baptize
people. We get people to the temple to make covenants and to seal
families forever! Investigators being baptized is just the very
beginning. I love seeing recent converts going to the temple and then
hearing about their experiences. Love being a missionary!
Have a good week y'all!
